Beth Davies

Directing of Learning and Development — Tesla Motors

Elizabeth Loeb Davies, BA '84, came into her own at IU and hasn't looked back. After choosing a major that she thought was practical, she decided to pursue courses simply because they interested her. This lead to a major in criminal justice and minor in sociology.

Outside of the classroom, Beth served as a director and VP on Union Board and an RA in Read Center. Her success in scholarship, leadership, and service were recognized by the Blue Key and Mortar Board Honor Societies. Her proudest achievement, however, was being selected to receive the Elvis J. Stahr Outstanding Senior Recognition Award.

Following IU, Beth went on to get her law degree from Stanford University and practiced law for 13 months and 22 days. Unfulfilled, she decided to take a 45 percent pay cut and restart her career in the field of human resources, specializing in learning and development. Currently at Tesla Motors, Beth has also lead training functions at Microsoft, Apple, and Gap, and has been a consultant for numerous clients like Tommy Hilfiger, Visa, Oracle, Breakthrough Group, and Coaching Right Now.

Beth is thrilled to be back in Bloomington and will answer just about any question she's asked.
