Fall 2017 Internship Opportunities

Are you looking to make connections with seasoned professionals? Do you want to add experience to your resume and portfolio? Apply to be an intern with the College Luminaries Program!

Students who serve as College Luminaries interns will have an opportunity to build skills in finance, videography, and event management. They must be able to commit 1-3 hours per week to the program until November 2017.

Ideal candidates should have experience in professional writing, networking, and organization, proficient in Office and Google products, and willing to form and foster relationships with professors, students, and returning alumni. 

All freshmen and sophomores who have a major or minor in the College of Arts and Sciences are welcome to apply.

Finance

The finance internship will focus on developing financial feasibility studies, tracking and allocating program expenses, developing the program's long-range financial strategy, and providing financial insight to the program's governing committee.  This internship will last until February 2018.

Applicants should be have an interest in financial planning or budgeting, have experience with excel, and ideally be outgoing, articulate, and confident.

Media (Videographer)

The media internship will advance the program's communications and marketing strategy through video development and production. He or she will develop and edit at least six promotional videos, accomplish technical tasks related to production and post-production, and transport, set up, and operate equipment. This student will collaborate with the communications and marketing team to develop engaging digital content, and, on occasion, be asked to photograph program events.

Applicants should be have experience with video production equipment, editing software, and project management, and ideally be inventive, proactive, and approachable.

Programming and Scheduling

The programming and scheduling internship will focus on event management and facilitation. Projects could include overseeing the program's invitation strategy, tracking event participation, developing and managing program assessments, and working with a team to carry out programming tasks.

Applicants should be skilled at organization, project management, and professional communications, and be outgoing, detail-oriented, professional, and prompt.
